Great Place to Work

We have been making amazing progress with the Great Place to Work initiative over the past month, and hope that our enthusiasm for this program is contagious. There are only a few branches who we haven’t had the chance to visit yet, but those who have given us their feedback thus far have had a whole lot to say about what matters the most in their branches.

Our post-it note sessions in each of these branches have allowed us to gauge which areas are key in moving forwards as a Great Place to Work, and our current tally shows the top three priorities for us are:

Communication and Engagement (22% of votes)

Work Environment and Process (18% of votes)

Values and Ethics (17% of votes)

We are excited to work with you to find out how we can make positive changes in each of these areas, and if the branches who are still waiting for their visits have an impact on the numbers we will adjust them accordingly.


In the meantime, we have appointed our Great Place to Work Leaders including:

These leaders will be your voice, and have spent recent weeks asking our staff how we can improve communications across Santa Fe Australia. If you haven’t been a part of one of these sessions yet, you will be soon and we have already had some incredibly insightful input which is really showing us just how much there is to say about each of these areas.

On the 3rd of May, each of these leaders will be coming to Melbourne to meet for the first time as a team and discuss the feedback you have given us about this first area of focus. They will spend the day forming an action plan surrounding your ideas and will then present this action plan to the ALT for approval. The team will go on to assist with the implementation of this plan at a local and national level to enhance communications for the entirety of Santa Fe Australia.

After several weeks of implementation and work around our first project, the cycle will begin again and we will move onto a new area of focus allowing us to slowly work our way through each of the priorities over the next few months.

The emphasis of this initiative is to engage each and every one of us in making our workplace the best it can be, and to ensure that you have a voice when it comes to making Santa Fe great. We are all in this together and your support is integral to the success of this program.
