Reasons to move to Germany

Quality of life

Germany has one the lowest unemployment rates in the world and plenty of jobs to offer. The country collectively scores above average on factors such as work-life balance, education, environmental quality, income and housing; and to top it off, Germans have relatively long lifespans.

Leading technology and innovation

As a global leader in the automotive industry, and home to top car brands Volkswagen, Porsche and Mercedes to name a few, Germany is a pioneer in innovation and design. The country focuses its efforts on building high-quality sustainable energy systems, consumer products and aviation services. Germany has played a major part in shaping many industries in the world and continues to do so.

Transport

Public transport in Germany is fantastic, featuring a modern and reliable network of railways. There are high-speed trains that connect all the major cities in Germany, travelling up to 300km per hour. The number of personal vehicles on offer is extensive, and since Germany is the producer of many luxury brands, they also tend to be high-quality. Arguably the most famous of transport methods in Germany though is The Autobahn; a freeway with no speed limits!

Education

Germany is home to many top institutions with 12 of its leading universities being ranked in the top 200 of the 2018 QS World University Rankings. Since 2014, higher education in Germany is now mostly free, and most universities are public, so charge fees of around $100-$300 per semester to cover administration costs.
