News from the HR Team

Thursday the 8th of September is R U OK Day and the Santa Fe HR team thinks this is a great opportunity for you to check up on your mates at work and ask if they are OK.

If you’ve got a niggling feeling that someone you know or care about it isn’t behaving as they normally would, they seem out of sorts, or if someone is just not themselves. Trust that gut instinct and act on it.

By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up. And if all is well, that person will know you’re someone who cares enough to ask.

BUPA has provided a practical guide to opening up these kinds of conversations, because sometimes a simple question can make all the difference.

As always, the HR team is here to help, and we want to provide you with all the resources you need to be happy and healthy in your workplace.

Many of you are already making the most of the great resources that we have in Pulse. If you have not yet had a chance to check out what is on offer then we encourage you to take advantage of the vast bank of learning modules and videos designed to help YOU.

Use the icon on your desktop to open Pulse, and click on the Pulse Learning tab to access a list of learning topics. From here on, you can browse through different types of training that may interest you. A great place to start is the very quick “Written Email Etiquette” module which all staff need to complete as part of our Great Place to Work Action Plan. Use the search box in the right hand corner of the screen to search for this module, or by keyword for other modules you may wish to complete.

We hope you find this resource to be the valuable tool we know it can be, and that you share with your colleagues any of the modules you find particularly useful.
