Safety Corner – With Rose Taylor
Each month we will be featuring data for the most recent period to show how Santa Fe is doing, safety wise!
October’s Group totals for Lost Time and Medically Treated Injuries include a total of 3 lost time injuries and 1 medically treated injury. This means that 3 people actually were unable to come to work for a period of time due to their injuries. One of these injuries was related to lifting.
Remember, if you can’t lift something, or it is awkward and oversized, then ask for someone to help you.
We need to encourage everyone to immediately report anything they see that may pose a risk to themselves or others. This can go a long way to preventing injuries! All hazards should be reported to your immediate manager or to myself in the Melbourne office.
Safety is of the utmost importance to us at Wridgways, and we want you to keep safe over the busy time and be able to go home to your families safe – everyday.
If you have any questions regarding any safety issue at your branch, please feel free to call or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
As we come into our busy season, we must remember to always think SAFETY first.
