Patrick White Visits Australia
We are very excited to confirm that Patrick White will be visiting us again in January for a week and a half, allowing him to get to know our people, and our Australian business better. Patrick will be spending time visiting our Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Sydney Immigration teams, and he is really looking forward to meeting with some of our corporate clients in Melbourne and Sydney as well.
Our Melbourne and Sydney offices recently enjoyed the opportunity to meet Patrick, asking him questions about his background and his vision for the future of our business. Members of our team also spent time with Nick Lefever who was in the country at the same time visiting our Melbourne office and learning more about our Australian business.
We have received some wonderfully positive feedback from Patrick complimenting us all on our passion, drive and commitment to Santa Fe. We will be seeing a lot of Patrick over the first half of 2017, and he will be returning in February and March to spend some quality time in a few of our other locations, hopefully having the opportunity to meet you all very soon and answer any questions you may have.
Step It Up Challenge
Congratulations to all of our Australian colleagues who marched their way through September, October, and November as part of the Inaugural Santa Fe Step It Up Challenge.
The highest performing Australian team was Step Off! in 5th place, which included Eli Camaya, Gerard Gonzales, Maria Oras, Louise Purcell and Geraldine Babbe. The team walked, jogged, ran (and hula hooped?) an incredible 907,989 steps for their grand total, with a few other Aussie teams nipping at their heels. Stomp the Yard (Peta, Estrella, Cheryl, Isabel, Rachel, Emma) came in at #11 with 782,085 steps, and The Extra Mile (Skye, Tash, Laura, Kathryn, Michael, Renee) scraped in at #20 with 666, 093.
Highest performing individuals again were Eli Camaya (14th place) with 1,228,460, Gerard Gonazles (15th place) with 1,227,175 and Renee Pettit (17th place) with 1,189,261. What a phenomenal effort!
To congratulate these super steppers we will be giving a Hoyts Cinemas double pass to the individuals who made it into the top 20, as well as the other members of our winning team.
Five Years of Service for Glen Webster & Keith Takkenberg
Congratulations to Glen Webster (Karratha) and Keith Takkenberg (Canberra) on recently receiving their awards for Five Years of Service. The passion and dedication these men have shown for our business is truly worthy of commendation, and we thank them for everything they have done for Wridgways.
Congratulations to our two winners in the Movember Mo Challenge, Glen Thomas who grew a spectacular real moustache and Maddison Howe who managed to take a very amusing faux mo selfie with Patrick White during his visit. Well done to both of your for your commitment to raising awareness around a great cause, and having a laugh in the process. Thank you to everyone who participated and sent through your glorious photos, and please visit our donation link if you haven’t had a chance to yet!
Santa Fe Sponsors AHRI Inclusive Workplace Award
We recently had the great honour of spending the evening in the company of some incredibly inspirational Australian Companies who were nominated for the 2016 ARHI Awards. Santa Fe Relocation Services sponsored the Inclusive Workplace Award and each of the nominees in this categories were absolutely deserving of this prestigious award. The AHRI Inclusive Workplace Award recognises organisations that prioritise diversity and recognise the value of an inclusive workplace for individuals and the organisation. Michael Derimboglou presented the award to the winner, Aurecon.
Our Melbourne team had an absolute blast on Cup Day, check out the amazing efforts that went into our costume competition, with first place going to Louise Barnard (Mario)!
Congratulations to Dianne Bourne on the birth of her beautiful new baby, and to Tegan Perry on her recent wedding.
We just had to include this gorgeous photo of Melbourne I.T team member Jas, with her beautiful daughter Aaliyah, who went on to wow a huge crowd of very impressed onlookers with an amazing dance routine. Well done Aaliyah!
Grand Final Day
Lots of fun was had across the country to celebrate our various Grand Finals, (AFL & NRL). Well done to Mark Ryan for winning the “hand ball” competition, and to Sydney for their amazing decorations!
Pink Ribbon Bake Off
Brisbane celebrated Pink Ribbon Bake off for Breast Cancer last month raising over $135 in one morning. The team dressed in pink, baked a pink treat and brought in donations for this great cause.
Paula asked her team to come in pink and to bake something so donations could be placed for the event. What a stellar effort everyone!
Sandown Ride Day
Wridgways proudly sponsors V8 Supercars driver Lee Holdsworth, which afforded us the opportunity to send two members of our team along to Sandown Racecourse for a special day on the tracks. Jesse Gall and Glen Thomas were chosen to attend, based on their outstanding performance in the arenas of Sales and Moving respectively, and the pair were extremely excited to be able to take up this offer.
Global Mobility Roadshow a Huge Success
The 2016 Australia and New Zealand Global Mobility Roadshow recently visited key Australian and New Zealand cities, with John Rason presenting the key findings and results of our 2016 Global Mobility Survey to a number of high profile corporate clients. Attendees from organisations included Rio Tinto, Siemens, Ericsson, KPMG, Worley Parsons and MMG. The Roadshow positioned Santa Fe as the thought leader in the global mobility space and provided attendees with insights and key trends to take forward in their day-to-day function. Well done to all involved in the success of this event, including members of our Business Development teams and event organisers Tash Boucher and Kathryn Cuddihy.
Gold Coast Suns Sleep Out
The Gold Coast Suns held their annual ‘Sleep-out’. The event, in its fourth year was a great success with over 400 people in attendance. As a Gold Coast Suns sponsor, we were thrilled to be involved in such a worthwhile event, with proceeds from the evening donated to organisations that support domestic violence and homelessness on the Gold Coast. Wridgways brand received strong exposure across the event and was highly visible with promotional giveaways and our packaging acting as sleep bases for the sleep out under the stars.
Great Cycle Challenge
Laura Gordon would like to thank all of the amazing members of our team who contributed to her recent Cycle Challenge, supporting her 1000km of riding during October by helping to raise $1105.
Thank you so much to everyone, especially Naztex, Charles Garner and Santa Fe who all contributed donations of $100+ which goes towards children’s cancer research.
